Collection: HANDLOOM KADHUA WEAVE SAREE
Made in Varanasi, India, the handloom Kadhua weave saree is an exquisite and detailed style. It is renowned for its exquisite themes and designs, which are made via a unique weaving method.
The Kadhua Weaving Method
The Kadhua weave requires a great deal of labor and time to complete. With the assistance of two weavers, each motif is woven independently. A second weaver assists the first in making the motifs using a wooden spool or tool known as a "Tilli." The first weaver is weaving the cloth or the body of the saree. As a result, the motifs appear heightened and as though they were stitched onto the saree.
